The Honorable Cock Jowles: Miami needs to dump Norris Cole. There’s no way that they can’t find someone in the D-League or a UFA who can post better than a 41 TS% shooting next to four of the best players in the NBA.

A few items from around the NBA:

– The Lakers gave up 40 points to the Kings in the 4th quarter last night. Yes, 40 points to Sacramento. Wow.

– The “best backcourt in the NBA” shot a combined 9-25 last night in a loss to Golden State. Joe Johnson’s FG% is a whopping 36% after 10 games.

– The Bobcats are 6-4!!

The terrible whistle Melo has been getting all season to date needs to get fixed soon. That sort of treatment can be the difference in a playoff series, which really scares me.

Jumping ahead to Friday: If Melo plays within himself he should have a big game scoring and passing. There is nobody on Hou roster that should be able to guard him. I love my boy Parsons but he is to weak and Patterson and Morrison are not on Melo’s level. I do worry about Asik blocking him or fouling him without it being called.

Also, RuRu what happen to Melo’s vertical explosion? In Denver he could jump a little. I know he has never been thought of as an elite leaper but when he drove he could get up and put it down.
