I don’t think Smith NEEDS to be a high-usage player to be effective. Put him in SSOL with good PGs where he’s getting open looks and I think he’d be a pretty efficient scorer.

he’s been a .550 eFG%, .580 TS% type player with pretty high usage.

JR Smith needing to be high usage to be effective is the main thing worrying me. It’s okay if Melo or Stat ain’t going to get a lot of playing time, but since these two are the stars, can JR Smith fit in?

Not saying he can’t, don’t’ know much about his game, so simply asking.

Francesa is good on the NFL generally. He is a bit biased Yankees/Giants/Parcells generally. He spends wayyyyy too much time on golf and horse racing. Basketball he knows nothing which is what led to me turning over to Michael Kay who at least will talk about the Knicks.

I have a love/hate relationship with him. Sometimes he's an arrogant jerk, other times he's observation and knowledge is an amazing listen.

Eternal OptiKnist: Its actually WFAN that talks nothing but football/Yankees. ESPN at least gets some NBA/Knicks in there regularly. Boomer & Carton barely talk about sports at all. Don’t worry though; now that NFL is done, its all Knicks so we picked a good time to start doing good things. lol, as I’m typing this Mike Francesa just said “with the NFL season done, this is a baron time for sports”

Definitely true in the afternoon, where FAN=Francesa.

You can tell that it Lin shys from the spotlight so i think having the star power of Melo and STAT will help keep some pressure off him.
