So what do you guys think of the Sean Williams possibility? Seems fine to me, but has there been any word on the K-Mart front?

Wouldn’t be an offseason without the yearly Sean Williams rumor.

I like his profile, seems like a good vet’s minimum bench guy, better than Copeland or C Smith to name two. Good insurance for Thomas or Camby.

I’m not sure it’s fair to say he’s better than Copeland. He was our best SL player (which isn’t saying much), and was the MVP of the league he played in overseas. Let’s at least give him a chance to stink lol.

Fair enough. It’s not an either-or thing, so I would like to sign Williams and let him, Copeland and the other scrubs duke it out for the last roster spots.

I would love Amundson, but guess he’s out of our price range.

      Z-man says:

I wonder if Williams could learn how to become more mature with Chandler and Camby to mentor him, he is a very talented shot blocker, is super athletic and can really run the floor.

Yeah, or K-Mart or Birdman. Williams might have the most upside, but the others are probably more dependable if one of the bigs goes down.

Adding Martin would push the team’s average age into geriatric.
