MDA not Phil in LA. Incredible. This is going to be insane.

That is high-larious. I mean, when you look at what they were preparing to offer Jackson, it really looked like the guy just didn't want to come back unless they gave him the moon (I mean, for crying out loud, they were offering to let him skip games!!! Who the hell hires a coach and lets him skip games?!? And that was not enough for him! He also wanted over $10 million a year and the right to pick his successor!), so it makes some sense, but wow, I really really did not think that D'Antoni would get such a prestigious coaching job so soon after leaving the Knicks. And you can tell that he had no clue it would happen either (or else there's no way he would have gotten his recent surgery). He seemed completely prepared to wait a year (possibly two) before getting back into the game, and I bet he figured it would be on a smaller scale, like coaching the Cavaliers or some shit like that, not the coach of the Los Angeles freakin' Lakers! Totally nuts.

Oh well, good for him. The Lakers are not a great fit for him, but still, it's the Lakers, he must be thrilled.

know you have your sources. i hope its not true. i am a MDA fan. not the right situation. i guess having the opportunity to coach nash again (and howard) you have to take it. i get it.

i was hoping for a small market team who has young team who could run the floor. bomb 3s. be weird and interesting but exceed expectations (similar to the 06 suns team). well. you have your talent mike. prove what you can do.

i am looking forward to his interviews. i always thought he was really funny. he made fun of the media and himself in a interesting way.

wow. i think i agree as well. there aren't many teams this month that can take advantage of melo being the 4 defensively/rebounding. memphis certainly (and less so indiana and weirdly enough the hornets). though i dont think woodson would start him at the 4 for that game/s.

i dont buy the nets and humphries on melo. melo can take him off the dribble all night. i guess if wallace is back he can to a decent job. though if the nets are still playing at a pace rating of 28th in the league (and therefore completely ignoring some strengths of their roster) i feel the knicks are a tough match up for them.

though im really interested for this week's short road trip.
