Actually, Clyde only had swag off the court in his dress and in hisprivate life. On the court, his facial expression never changed, his game was all about perfect execution of fundamentals, never any unnecessary flash, never dunked, never got called for a single tech in his entire career…in fact, he was very Manu-like, maybe even more boring by your standards!

I know that this thread is now dead but I just want to say again, I don’t know how anyone can say that Manu is anything less than one of the most ingenious craftiest players in the NBA.

He is not boring, nothing like it, refuse to believe….

Clyde had swag out the wazoo, that would have probably been enough for me. Sprewell and Camby too…

Tony Parker also is pretty awesome and entertaining to me, it’s just Duncan and Ginobili and the waves of nondescript yet remarkably effective role players that I can’t stand.

jon, you would have hated the 1970 and 1973 championship Knicks, they make the Spurs look like the Harlem Globetrotters.

I just like smart basketball. That said, I rooted big time for the Dr. J Sixers over the Walton Blazers, probably for the reasons you stated.

so to answer, I rooted for Ewing and his teams hard, but no, I never really loved him. I still think he was more entertaining than Duncan, though.

Ewing was easily the best player on the team, but Anthony Mason wss my guy. he had ten times more swag on his own than this entire Spurs team.

and boring players playing fast isn’t any more entertaining than boring players playing slow. even their uniforms are dull.
