Bruno Almeida: with Chandler and Shumpert, if Melo buys into playing defense the whole time, it’s pretty good. and it’s not like Lin is a good defender anyway.

Lin has potential on D. If he just learns how to run with the 2s off of screens he will be golden with Shump in the back court.

Pop has had a lot of talent. If the Spurs win this year where does Duncan place all time? Can’t see him lower than ten. Manu and Parker aren’t chopped liver, and a good stretch with David Robinson.

But it doesn't make sense that they would completely sour on him. It's not even a Dolan-style bad decision. Dolan overpays players and has a boner for star power. I can't see him agreeing to ditch Lin for Nash.

It's Nash or Lin. I don't see how the Knicks would choose two seasons of Nash over X amount of seasons of Lin, but I guess if they're really not sold on Lin it makes some sense.

hoolahoop: I love the idea of Nash coming here. But with the knicks curse he’ll hit the wall next season. Nash, with Lin as his understudy would be ideal. Great for knicks, nash, and lin.

Is that a pipe dream or would Nash take a huge paycut to come here and be the starter for 2 years and tutor Lin?... Pipe dream

Nash/TD/replacement Shump/maybe JR??/Fields Melo/Fields Stat/Jorts Chandler/Jerome A bit thin IMO
