I get that the team was mad at not getting calls and why they reacted the way they did. However, why they chose to go away from Wallace in the post in the second half puzzled me. Rasheed is a weapon. The pgs should have ran the offense through him and I was surprise Kidd and Felton didn't do that. Instead we had JR,Felton, and Wallace taking long jumpers when the Knicls could have slowed the pace down a probably kept it within 12-15 instead of 17- 20.

In the back of my mind I was thinking Woody sees a bigger picture(I maybe reaching) because so far he has not been that stubborn in Ny. I figured he would go to the line up they had against the Nets in the pre-season with Kurt at the 4 because they have a big front line too. Keep Rasheed off the bench but give Kurt the early hook to keep him fresh. It's a long season and sometimes it maybe ok to learn things about the limitations of your team early as a coach.

I think you are completely wrong on this. Melo was not shut down.... He was in foul trouble. Memphis and Spurs overloaded against melo so he's been more of a passer. Last years playoffs proof u completely wrong. The Miami loaded up on melo and he went for 40 and 35 also see the bulls game from last year. Tonight was just a rugged game on the second night of b2b. And he is every bit as physical as lebron and wade idk where you get the notion he isnt

To clarify my melo/Lebron/Wade comparison, Melo has enormous talents, but he doesn’t have raw physicality of those guys.

If that game was in NY, the Knicks win.
I'm not troubled at all. We were going to lose. Splitting a road trip with two of he best in the west is nothing to be concerned about.
I am concerned that teams have resorted to pounding Melo at PF. This is probably what separates Lebron and Wade from Melo. No team can simply shut those guys down.
Melo is playing smartly. I am concerned about his ability to withstand this pounding all season. This is where having a beast like Amare will help. They can't overload when Amare is there as well.

(Also, Ellington and Bayless are not superstars, and when they stop playing like they have been, Memphis will be where they belong, right around the #4 seed.)

</blockquote>

That's the problem though, with them shooting lights out and the Knicks playing on the second night of a back to back on the road (with a super tough Spurs game the night before) you needed those guys to start sucking right now lol. Oh well as everyone said we had a bad whistle, Melo is getting mauled out there without getting a fucking call. I was pretty sure we would lose the game coming in, Memphis is one of the few bad matchups for the Knicks in terms of being able to abuse Melo at the 4, Woody really needed to either start Sheed or.... JR, so that if Memphis is trying to hide Zach Randolph from guarding Melo, he has to stop JR and not Brewer (who can't do anything with the ball in his hands and who's cutting isn't as effective against a team as good at creating turnovers as Memphis is.)

As far as I know, there are a few ways to win.

1) Score more points than your opponent.
2) Injure everyone on the other team with impunity.
3) Hire David Kahn as your opponent's GM.

I was very impressed with Memphis, they are a big, rugged team with lots of ways to win. If they stay healthy, wouldn't want to be a WC team having to face them in the playoffs. Marc Gasol is a load, and their starting lineup is vary intimidating.

I was not upset in the least at this lost, second game of a grueling back-to-back after a great come-from-behind win. Considering that we will lose at least 25 games this season, this was one of those games that you don't mind having in the L column. That makes us .500 vs. sure thing WC playoff teams on the road.

I also think that this loss was a revealing one for a team that might have been a little bit too full of itself.

Is Camby still hurt? I thought this would have been a good game to work him and Copeland in, considering all the foul trouble.
