I meant more in the sense of wanting to be a featured offensive player when his skills didn’t merit it, pouting when he didn’t play well, showing motivational issues, etc. He was not well liked in Philly/Sacto or the Canadian National team. You can be philanthropist and still an unpleasant individual (indeed many of the great philanthropists throughout history were also big jerks!).

Well, Randolph got a 4 year $71 million deal. That’s a huge contract, much bigger than Kwame’s. My guess regarding Kwame over Dalembert is that Dalembert wanted more money than he got. That’s why he didn’t sign a deal until 12/26 while Kwame signed right at the beginning of free agency.

I’m really surprised no one offered Dalembert multiple years. The rockets really got a sweet deal with him. The 2nd year is for less money and is a team option. GS wanted to preserve cap flexibility (with a few moves they could have room for a max offer) for this summer.
