Why cry over Ty Lawson at this point? There’s a 110% chance he’d be a Rocket or Nugget by now anyway.

Brian Cronin: Yeah, that’d be amazing. Maybe we can go really nuts and see Miami lose to Cleveland, too! By the way, losing to Washington is looking a lot less depressing. They just beat Denver and Houston on a back-to-back! Washington at home is no joke!

But yeah, really pretty much anyone would been better than Hill. Rarely do you see a #8 pick so obviously not going to be a good player. Well, amusingly enough, the Wolves made an even worse pick that draft. Jonny Flynn at #5?!?! Seriously?!?

I disagree that they should have taken him at #8. Obviously, Lawson was worth a #8 pick, but you have to play the field. If Lawson is not getting picked at #8 no matter (and there was no way that he was getting picked below #14, no matter what), then why take him at #8 when you can trade down, get him and pick up another asset? That said, sure, if no team was willing to move up, then fair enough, bite the bullet and just take Lawson.
