Well, I’m not sure how relevant his 04 season is to now (some of us here were hoping for Baron Davis to play to his 07 form…..didn’t happen). FWIW, WS/48 and WP/48 both don’t like him. But he’s still got his athleticism and energy, so I guess he would be a good back up 4.

Understand all of that. Was simply pionting out that he was a pretty damn good player in his prime prior to the knee tendinitis he suffered in his first year and denver (leading tohis first micro-fracture surgery). It’s not the athleticism and energy as much as the smarts and toughness that I’d like.

If he had his athleticism, wouldn’t he be as good as he was in the mid-00s?

Also, the whole “has raised his level offensively when key players were out throughout his career” sounds like some anecdotal bullshit. I think that you THINK he has raised his “level” when others are out, but that seems to run contrarily to your opinion about “good” players helping others to shoot more efficiently. If he’s getting better when good players are out, what does that say about your hypothesis?
