I love to hear that Melo is pulling more weight than jus just being the leading scorer. I love that instead of leading by example he is setting expectations and letting the team know that if they don’t put in the work he’s putting in then the team will fail. I love it. I’m sure all the greats did that but it wasn’t talked about. But guys like MJ, Kobe, Bird and Shaq were very vocal about that kinda stuff. It’s refreshing to hear that Melo’s trying to learn to fill that role without being standoffish about it like Kobe. I’m excited to see the results. In a way he’s kinda begging his team not to force him to decide to leave NY. If he really didn’t REALLY want to win a ring in NY.. I don’t think his leadership would have evolve in that way.

I love that Artest is whipping Melos ass in practice. Hes a guy who wont be intimidated by melo and will pay off for us in the end, if Melo has a dose of physical tough D everyday in practice.
