SeeWhyDee77: lol..Ray’s fine. I am glad he’s back. He’s playig with a bone bruise on BOTH HANDS!! Don’t be ridiculous. Billups, Hinrich, Bibby Rivers, Redick?? Curry no one can argue with…but the rest? Please tell me you’re joking and trying to bring some holiday cheer lol. In all seriousness..I am frustrated with Ray and trying to be patient while waiting for his hands and shot to heal. He is shooting absolutely horrible as of late. Funny thing is..this season there’s not alot of competition at the 1 for a spot in the ASG for Ray. Outside of Rondo and Williams..who else is there? And quite frankly, I think Felton is playing just as well as D Will so far. I think we should have 2 All Star starters because Chandler starts over Noah easy with his torrid “shooting”. What we are seeing from the team is probably the norm..Woody has to make some slight adjustments to mask those deficiencies better. Of course Stat’s return could make the offense alot more dangerous. One can only wish for Stat’s seamless integration for Christmas :)

Jrue Holiday to be frank. He is playing at a really high level right now. If Kyle Lowry ever gets healthy he also deserves a shot. Jose Calderon has been playing well of late. Brandon Jennings as well but he is a chucker. But really I think in the East aside from Rondo & Deron, Jrue & Lowry.

also pretty interesting to note that Kris Humphries and Reggie Evans got a combined 11 minutes yesterday in Brooklyn’s win over Philly, Humphries with the healthy DNP-CD. Berri and his followers would have those two playing 80 minutes combined if possible. :)

Only problem is that Denver is always rated better by things like point differential than they actually are. The last 2 years they've lost to teams that were worse by Hollinger's ratings, and neither of those teams was a major contender. They have a built in home court advantage that for some reason nobody ever tries to adjust for. It shouldn't be hard to simply compare their road record to the other team's road record.

I actually looked into this a bit, I ignored last year because the lockout was so odd with back to back to backs and all kinds of schedule nonsense. In 2011, Dallas and Miami were second and third in the conference, respectively, but they had the best road record in the league. San Antonio had 61 wins but was tied for the third best road record in the West, and they lost in the first round.

2010 was very nearly a banner year for this type of evaluation. The Cavaliers won 61 games that year and Orlando 59, while the Celtics only won 50 total. However, they tied for the best road record in the league, and got past both Cleveland and Orlando en route to the finals. The west was fucked up though, Dallas got the second seed and the most road wins but lost in the first round to a San Antonio team that got swept in the second. Lakers didn't have as many road wins, but they did have more road wins than the 3 opponents they faced in the west, so that's something.

2009 was similar, Orlando was the third seed in the east with 59, but were tied in road wins with Cleveland and Boston (who lost KG that year). Lakers dominated the west in every possible way. 2008, Celtics and Lakers had the best road records.

Obviously this is a pretty small sample, but in the past 4 non lockout years, there was only 1 Finals team that didn't at least tie for most road wins in the conference, and they were the defending Champs. That seems a little cherry picked, but it does make me very curious about a potential playoff model based on the idea

Jeez you are annoying! Just leave. Anytime you post I feel the collective IQ of this site drop. I think you are actually driving posters away. Why would anyone as dumb as you post on a thoughtful forum like this? Go back to posting on yahoo with the rest of the sheeple. Sorry to be an asshole, but somebody needed to say it. Merry Christmas!
