As to my question. Take a moment to simply answer it. Do you want to see LBJ play or do you want him out to give NYK a better chance to win?

sorry to pick at a scab, but since you kept begging for am answer, danvt:

I would be disappointed if a good Knicks team played the Cavs in the EC Finals and won because LeBron got hurt, as opposed to beating them straight up.

But here’s what you keep failing to grasp:

Acting like an injury to Paul George is like an injury to LeBron James IS INSANE! And that’s what you (and many in the media) are doing. Paul George isn’t a national treasure, nor does he remotely resemble one. He is situated somewhere in the tier of the 11-20 best players in the league. Someone new this year is going to take his spot in that tier and we won’t skip a beat. He won’t be missed anywhere except in Indiana.

And this Knicks team isn’t good. Nothing they acheive is likely to memorable, so it won’t be cheapened by PG’s injury. If we make the playoffs this year, and that experience helps us somewhere down the road, that’s good for us, and it is 0% minimized by this injury.

    2. DEFINITELY NOT JD & The Rim Shot

All Bledsoe has to do is find a way to take more shots this season. If he can just use 5 extra possessions on scoring attempts, he’ll be in line for a max contract next year. Why settle for $12M/year when all you have to do is chuck to be perceived as a max guy?

    3. Hubert

Huh, I guess I was wrong. That is Jowles.

I’m sad to see JD & the 20 foot Contested Carmelo Shot go so soon. Thought that was your best one so far.

I think the news of the day is Becky Hammon becoming the first official assistant coach in the NBA.

      You go girl!

      Nuf said.

Phoenix doesn’t want Bledsoe to take the QO. If he does, they can’t trade him this year without Bledsoe’s permission and after that he (presumably) walks and they lose a valuable asset for nothing. So Bledsoe (or his agent) need to convince Phoenix that he really might be crazy enough to pass up 48 million and roll the dice that he can stay healthy for a year.

I’d be pretty interested to see what Bledsoe would get on the truly open market. He’s a really good player, but PG is just so crazy deep in the league at the moment. Can a guy be a max player if he’s not top-10 at his own position? If you go through the league depth chart the number of teams that don’t already have a star PG (either an actual star or a guy being paid big $) or a young promising lottery selection type is really only a handful. I know restricted FA is a complicated beast, but there haven’t even really been whispers of teams going after him. I have a feeling he might find his market next summer quite limited again.

I got cussed at by the other JD. He called me unoriginal!

(Sorry JD, but Ted Nelson called me that first. You’re unoriginal too.)

Besides Becky Hammond the players union now has a female leader. I think that’s newsworthy too
