I loved Gallo, Chandler, and Felton. I hope they play well in Denver, or wherever they land. The bottom line though is we were 28 and 26 with those players, and that is better than we have been in a long time, but it’s still 28 and 26. We have a better opportunity to be an elite team now than previously. We are not there now, but with a rebuilt bench, a center, and an elite point guard…

They just showed highlights from the Nuggets/Grizzlies game on Sportscenter. They had a shot of all the former Knicks – they were all at the game in street clothes. They looked pretty somber (granted, it was a quick shot – but they certainly weren’t laughing & smiling in the clip I saw). I must say, FWIW, it’s gonna be pretty strange not seeing Gallo, Chandler, and even Felton in Knicks uniforms anymore. There have been so many players in & out of NY over the past few years, but for some reason there was something different about Gallo & Chandler. They “felt” like ” real Knicks” (as corny as that sounds).

dunno if y’all have seen the press conference with walsh, but it doesn’t seem like he’s acting when he says he likes the deal. d’antoni seems a bit more lukewarm.

I didn’t see the press conference from Denver. Is there any news from it. Do they seem happy and likely to keep who they got?

(by the way, in the Denver Blog’s it’s mentioned that there’s a rumor some team offered minnnesota’s unprotected first round pick for Gallo and there was debate if that was a good offer).

Proof’s in the pudding… honestly, was anyone totally confident in a playoff spot this year, or anything above the 8th spot? Chauncey, Melo and Amar’e are an intriguing ensemble.

Yeah, exactly. Like I said last night, we all stuck around through Isiah, we can certainly stick around through this (which is nowhere nearly as bad). I'll certainly be rooting for Carmelo tomorrow night and for the next X years.
