I officially hate the press. They have no integrity when it comes to players and immediately fall in love with the entire roster of the leagues best and “most surprising” teams. A year ago Z-Bo and Crawford were anti-Christs and now they’re media darlings.

Yes. My favorite part of this page is the embedded video window that reads: “The Post’s Marc Berman says the Knicks need wins to stay in contention.” Great insight, Marc, but remember: the Knicks need to score points to win games.

“I think it is cool that we had our draft chat this year, because it makes it easy for us now to debunk any accusations of “20/20 hindsight,” because our draft chat was mostly people saying “We want Ty Lawson and Dejaun Blair!”

Also the most frustrating part of being a Knicks fan (beside the Curry/Jeffries contracts).

Yeah, definitely.

I think it is cool that we had our draft chat this year, because it makes it easy for us now to debunk any accusations of “20/20 hindsight,” because our draft chat was mostly people saying “We want Ty Lawson and Dejaun Blair!”

With a point guard that can score and dish this Knicks team would have a much better record. It’s quite clear that as Duhon goes so goes the Knicks.
Each Knicks slump correlates with Duhon slumps.

It would be nice if the Knicks could find a deal, but I’m not sure there is one worth making…
on the other hand, if they could help Duhon get his head out of his ass, this team might be an 8 or a 7, even if that means being .500 or so.

If only we had drafted a point guard…

Come on, don’t count the Knicks out just because they’re 4 GB on Charlotte! I mean Charlotte is better, but teams under perform.

I really thought this road trip would knock the Bulls back to our level, and instead they go on a tear and win 4 in a row against good teams. If we’re going to have any chance of sniffing the 8th seed, it starts by winning a bunch of these next 6 games. Any letdown, and there may not be much to talk about in March and April except who we hope the Jazz don’t get in the draft.

Yup, now all 8 teams in the East are at .500. Still think the 8th and maybe the 7th seeds will be under .500 but probably no worse than 39-40 wins.

Knicks playoffs tickets will have to wait til 2011 to be printed.

Annoying.

Especially since Toronto trailed Miami big early on.

Arenas is due $22 mm in 2013-14, so I would stay away. I could see an argument that he could be a good (maybe exceptional) offensive PG next to LeBron if he’s willing to bend his game, and that buying low now is a good deal… if LeBron comes to New York. Maybe he even helps lure LeBron in the best case (given that he is a PR nightmare… who knows what impact it would have on LeBron’s thinking… at face value he’s more attractive that Jeffries/Curry at least, but maybe Walsh can sell LeBron on what he can do with the expiring contracts/2011 cap space). I can also see an argument that Arenas is overrated and overpaid and even buying now for little talent in return is buying high.

2011 isn’t a good free agent class (unless no one opts out this season), but “our 2011 f.a.” could also come in the form of a trade… so the cost of tying up cap space with Arenas might be the ability to trade for Chris Paul or someone else who is considerably better than Arenas.
