I probably didn’t even post it correctly. Anyway, it is somewhat optimistic. As bad as the game was, if feel so much worse for Shump.

Ruru, I thought the Grantland piece made sense. I can’t say that I figured that out while I ws watching the game.

HCJ-I agree that LeBron was not faking that whiplash injury. Perhaps he milked it, but that kind of injury is pretty scary and freaky, speaking as one with C3-C5 fusion. Ouch.

Chandler left his feet for the LeBron hit. I don’t think he was acting when he went to the ground (whiplash sucks, as anyone who’s ever played tackle football, rugby, or judo knows for a fact), but even if that’s the case, he certainly milked it.

This is why we can trick the Nets into a sign and trade of Amare and Lin for Deron and Humphries. Then we can destroy the league next year.

Man, just thinking about the other team in New York makes me feel a whole lot better about the Knicks. At least the Knicks will have legitimately very good players like Melo and Chandler and Lin (and sometimes Amar’e) to start next year even if they lose JR and Novak.

I really can’t believe they chose Wallace over Paul Pierce. Yes, Paul Pierce is old but:

A. He is still good,

B. He is better than Wallace despite the age difference

and, more importantly…

C. He is under contract for next year!

Who trades a high draft pick in a stocked draft for a player who can opt out and leave a month after the trade?!?!

Brian Cronin: Yeah, I was talking about it in the other thread. I don’t mind black and white as the team colors, but a black and white drawing? That is just plain ol’ weird. And obviously Lopez has to be the face of the Nets since D-Will is leaving. Lopez also made closing remarks in the Nets’ last game. By the way, Gerald Wallace opting out and becoming a free agent is hilarious. What an awful trade.
