Surprisingly close game. Both Gasols had several opportunities in the post that they missed in final quarter.

I noticed that when Lebron was guarding Pau Gasol in the first half, he fronted him all day, and Spain had no answer for it, and settled for perimeter shots. Lebron even got a steal once when they tried to lob it to Gasol. In second half, Gasol was defended by Love, who played him straight, and Lebron was switched to guard Ibaka.

ephus:
Given the surprising small amount of court time that TC got, I would not be surprised to learn that he has a nagging injury that he wants to rest.

I'm a big proponent of the Knicks using their depth (hopefully by adding Martin or Andersen) to give Chandler 15-20 games off during the season and reducing his minutes for the real season, but these camps are considerably lower impact than training camp.

The starting offense could use another shot-creation element.

Congratulations Melo and Tyson. PS. Berman reported that Tyson is no longer going to see Hakeem. Don’t know if it is true because it is Berman. Just passing the news along.

That would be disappointing

Coming out Chandler was supposed to be a good offensive player with a jumper. Its really interesting how he didn't develop offensively but carved out a role as a defensive presence. Chandler really just needs a jump hook and feel comfortable taking an open 8-15 ft. shot.

Regarding Amar'e: adding a post game is nice but I hope he gets better on D and as a passer. If teams start front Melo the Knicks will need Amar'e and Chandler to flash and make good passes to take advantage of teams over playing Melo.

I hope Melo goes to camp O. too but he needs to work on improving his post defense and become more of a help defender. The one thing that hurts Melo playing the four is he gives up ground to players to go for the strip. He does usually go straight up though when he contest so that's a good thing.`

Great accomplishment by USA Basketball. Congratulations to all the players and coaches.

In defeat, Pau Gasol demonstrated that he is still one of the most dangerous low post players in the game. He had a couple of McHale-type moments today.

Hard to imagine another core outside of OKC having a better off-season. Amar'e's and Melo have had amazing summers, and i'd be shocked if Tyson didn't add at least a couple of reliable post moves after a few weeks with Dream.

As most know, Lebron and Kobe became elite post players after their sessions.

Chandler's length and defensive agility should have long ago translated into a better offensive game. I don't think he's ever put the requisite time in. but a speed course with the best could be more important than everything he's practiced up to this point.

No reason to believe Amar'e can't develop something similar.
