Yeah, it really was stupid. I don’t know how anyone looked at Dwight Howard this particular season and thought he was a better defensive player than Chandler. Howard appeared to be clearly slacking all season, for whatever reason (pissed at his coach, distracted by his situation, whatever). You could make a case for Ibaka being a better defender than Chandler, but I don’t think Howard, not this particular season (every other season, sure).

Brian Cronin:
Different voters. The media votes for DPOY while coaches vote for All-Defense and coaches all love Howard (except for his own coach, but he couldn’t vote for him anyways) while the media realizes he dropped off a bit this year as he sulked.

With no one on the all NBA team…Indiana never stood a chance. The All NBA predictor – based on number of members and tier of selection – says Boston beats Philly (no all NBA player), the heat beat the celtics, OKC beats the Spurs, and OKC beat the Heat. Lol

of course this would have had Miami over the Lakers or OKC last year too, each of those three had a guy on the first team and a guy on the second team (although Gasol looked awful in the playoffs).
