lavor postell:
How mediocre of a player has Gallinari become? This guy was a borderline All-Star last year and now he’s become more or less an inefficient gunner.Conversely Melo is really playing within the team concept which is allowing him to manifest his scoring genius in a more efficient and visually pleasing way.He still has bouts of jab stepping for 15 seconds, but they have become more infrequent.

Melo will be a huge beneficiary of Felton’s comeback. We miss his penetration, which doesn’t allow the defense to focus completely on keeping Melo out of the paint.I would expect our three point percentage to rise a bit as well with the increased ball movement it should create.

Back to Gallo though. The Rooster is not in fine form and his contract, while not an albatross, is not extremely appealing. The same can be said for Wilson Chandler who apparently forgot how to play basketball while in Denver. It says something when Corey Brewer has probably been the 3rd best player on your team over the course of half a season.

Washington did ball outrageous tonight though.Seraphin was really impressive tonight and I’ve got to say that Wall has so far looked much more mature and in control in his first few games back. There seems to be more purpose in his actions rather than his days of treating all basketball situations offensively as if it was a fast break.

He's still a solid player. Not sure why anyone expected him to develop into anything more.

So much for the theory that Lin was a lock to be an all-star due to the Asian vote.

I don't think he was ever a lock in the West, since they have Chris Paul and Kobe. He would have been a lock had he been a Knick, though, since without Derrick Rose the Eastern guards are not that popular after Wade. Note that he lost to Chris Paul, one of the best and most popular players in the NBA by 45,000 votes. So clearly he would have beat Rajon Rondo, ya know?

But yeah, it is a good thing Paul edged him out. It would be a shame to see someone like Steph Curry pushed out because of Lin getting voted in. I mean, whatever, like I said before, if the fans want him, the fans want him (like back when Allen Iverson was an automatic starter even though he was terrible, if the fans wanted him, fine by me), but it is nice when the fans give more room for guys like Curry or possibly David Lee's return to the All-Star Game (I figure Lee has to still be a long shot, though, since the West has so many good big men).
