I think the Nets screwed up big time. They certainly had enough picks and cap space to build a juggernaut. They also had a two-three year or more window to build the team while still in New Jersey.

Lopez and 3.6 rebound average last year makes Eddy Curry look like Dennis Rodman. Joe Johnson had the worst contract in the league, until he was traded to the Nets. That move was considered a coup. If the Knicks got him, it would be considered an Isiah move and be national negative headlines.

How about the 6th pick in the draft for Gerald Wallace? With Wallace a pending unrestricted free agency. I mean, that's as dumb as it gets. The 6th pick in the draft for Gerald Wallace in the last year of his contract is exactly the type of move Isiah did. Why not wait 3 months and go after him in free agency. It wasn't like there was going to be a feeding frenzy for Gerald Wallace in free agency. Looks like to me that the Nets were the only team interested, yet they still overpaid.

And now with Prokorov running his mouth in an attempt to lure Knick fans to the Nets...please. We're not going to leave one stupid bitch for another stupid bitch, LOL.

Had the Nets said screw the free agency bonanza, I'm not going to be a follower like every team in the NBA and follow the Walsh plan on how to build a winner and kept the picks, and of course drafted correctly. They would have one of the youngest, exciting, cap space friendly teams in the league. Instead you've got a team no better then the Utah teams Williams had in Chicago or Johnson had in Atlanta, and I think that's at the absolute best. If injuries happen to key personnel they could drop off quickly.

So in conclusion, there's nothing worse then listening to scrubs talk smack. Prokorov hasn't won in the regular season, he hasn't won in the playoffs, he hasn't won in the draft lottery, nor free agency.

I'm not saying it is, I just thought it would be nice to see a Knick say encouraging things about Raymond Felton, especially about his shooting and physical condition. Those are the two biggest knocks against Felton; he can't shoot and he's fat. If he shoots it well and stays in shape, the Knicks will be a lot better off for the next 3 years than we would be if we got last year's Felton.

Novak told Ballow that he’s taken the time out this week to begin working out with the Knicks’ new starting point guard, Raymond Felton. It sounds as though he likes what he sees so far, too.

“I was working out the last three days with Raymond Felton,” Novak said. “He looks great. He’s shooting the ball well and looks like he’s in great shape. We’re just going to try to use that momentum to start the year strong.”

DS: It’s pretty tough to be excited about the Nets’ roster. They were willing to compromise their future to be as good as possible for their first season in Brooklyn… I suppose in a year they might be able to get something in return for Lopez and Humphries’s expiring but those Wallace and JJ contracts will create a serious logjam.

At least Wallace and Johnson have been all stars in the past few years and have good reputations, everyone knows Lopez can't rebound or defend worth shit. Since he's also not a monster scorer, I really don't see how he was even worth $10 million a year

Good for him, I guess? Maybe he’ll get 15 mins. per night in the 2013 Finals and become a household name.

Thanks, guys. Glad you liked it!

There’s a reason it’s been quiet here the last few months. It’s a secret, but it’ll be revealed in short order.

In the mean time…. Would anyone care if we just illegally signed Jorts and pretended he was a rookie again?

If we have him shave his mustache no one will ever recognize him!
