Elizabeth Cambage, the No. 2 overall pick in last year’s W.N.B.A. draft, has decided not to play the rest of this season with the Tulsa Shock.

This is funny.
Mario Chalmers: “Rondo’s not the best [PG in the NBA] but he’s in the top five. There are a lot of great point guards in the league, Deron Williams, Chris Paul and Steve Nash. There are a lot of great guards in the NBA so for him to say he’s the best is a pretty bold statement. I’d say that I am in the front end of the top 10.”

You know it’s a slow NBA news day when the only article Mike posts is “Elizabeth Cambage will not return to Tulsa Shock”
Yawn, wake me up when training camp starts.
Chalmers is actually pretty underrated, especially considering his role on the Heat, but he doesn’t crack the top 15 lol
I agree it’s unfair when people disparage Chalmers’ game as just getting the leftovers and opportunities made available by Lebron and James being on the court. I’m more amused by his statement than making fun of him; many players prolly think their the absolute shit but don’t say it publicly.
Maybe I’d feel differently if I had watched more of pre-injury CP3 play, but for me Rondo is the most exciting PG to watch, because of his unusual athletic gifts and how he can make a play materialize nearly instantly on every possession.

Josh Howard worth a flyer?
Mario Chalmers should thank God everyday he plays on the Heat. Nobody would put him in the top 10 PGs even by mistake. When starting that discussion, here are some names that come to mind (in no particular order):
CP3
Rondo
DWill
Nash
Parker
Westbrook
Rose
Irvin
Curry
Jennings
Lawson
That’s 11 names before I even think of including Chalmers. Even then, I’d have to consider him in this group:
Rubio
Lin
Dragic
Wall
Nelson
Holiday
Hill
Teague
Conley
Calderon
And there’s no guarantee that he is at the top of that group.
