ESPN: Debate Knicks-Pacers Game 6

I was invited to talk about Game 6 at Espanola. A snippet: 1. What does the absence of George Hill mean? Mike Kurylo, KnickerBlogger: Obviously, Hill is an important cog for the Pacers. New York has suffered through injuries (Iman Shumpert, Amar’e Stoudemire, Rasheed Wallace, Kurt Thomas, Melo’s shoulder, Tyson Chandler’s neck, Jason Kidd’s bruised confidence) so as Reggie Miller says, “Next man up!” How about you answer these, and then compare them to mine/the panel? …continue reading

But damnit was it timely. Melo once again had his fill of Paul George’s meat-hooks, but buried enough jumpers – clean and contested alike – to keep the lead safe. As for the iso stuff, at this point we have to just accept a star’s ego for what it is; In …continue reading

Playoff Game Thread: Knicks vs. Pacers Game 5

The Knicks already had to feel good about heading back to the Garden to try to take care of business and at the very least force the Pacers to clinch the series in Indiana. However, things changed dramatically a little while ago when the news came out that George Hill suffered a concussion during the last game. Hill will miss tonight’s game and since you never know how concussions go, he might very well miss the rest of the series. The Pacers’ third-string point guard is Ben Hansbrough (the Pacers have cornered the market on Hansbroughs), but I bet they’ll …continue reading
