Kurt Thomas, Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler, Amar’e Stoudamire, Rasheed Wallace. Pour some out.

Team may need to cut someone just to get another healthy front court body for the next ten games.

Good news is that Melo’s fluid drain came from the insertion of the hamstring, not the knee itself. That is an injury that can probably be handled with shaving a tendon to deal with fraying. I say this with the vast medical knowledge I gained in law school. LOL.

Really a joke how the NBA analysts are piling on the Knicks right now, just heard Brent Barry say that no one should be surprised that the Knicks have injury woes given the age of their roster.

Uh, Brent the average age of the 3 players who are out is 30.

yeah. the announcers kept focusing about it being outside the cylinder, but thats not the issue. it had not hit the rim yet and was above the rim, headed towards the hoop. if the defense interefered it would have been goaltending, so obviously the offense can touch it either

Fine by me. Kidd better off the bench. Thomas cannot start since he needs to relieve Martin. And Utah is short enough that we can do the 3 guard lineup.

In the meantime, I just marveled at something Copeland just did. Prigs was losing his man around a screen from Copeland’s guy and, while keeping his eyes about him, Copeland straightened up his stance and reached his arms to the sky which allowed Prigs just enough clearance to run between Copeland and the guy who set the pick.

I’d love to see more of that.

We just need decent games from Felton and JR. Not good, just decent. Oh, and not put up an 0/8 from 3 pt line performance in any given quarter. While it sounds like I am poking fun at our offensive mediocrity, I am being totally serious that this bare minimum is sufficient to give us the W. Why?

Because our defense is good enough to secure it.

Agree, running the offense through Copeland is ridiculous (although the Jazz actually double teamed him once, upping the dumbness ante)

d-mar: Agree, running the offense through Copeland is ridiculous (although the Jazz actually double teamed him once, upping the dumbness ante)

yeah, that was pretty unbelievable. it was a double late in the shot clock though (and i think they were doubling off of Kurt)

  35. 35
    AnonymousODG says:

Jazz tightened up on the Knicks’ ball movement. They’ve cut off at least two backdoor passes and stepped into passing lanes several more times when Felton and JR dribbled into trouble.

Besides, we’ve had a buttload of open shots created by picks and have pretty much missed all of them.

    XD

Happy to see JR realize he’s easily got more hoop skills than anyone else on the floor and so he should just take it to the rim and beat em at the line. Very Melo-esque attitude and encouraging. Plus, he’s played much fewer minutes than most on the floor so he’s got much fresher legs to take advantage of.

  52. 52

Nice little run here. They really have to rely on JR if they are going to have any chance at winning.

Floor opens up a bit on offense with Novak out there. Gives Felton and JR more space to work with. And our help defense is serviceable tonight. Sometimes it’s just that simple.

  79. 79

I dont care if Novak is in the game at PF covering Favors if the Knicks would just let him cover Favors and not double. But putting Novak in at PF knowing full well they will be doubling at all times when they post him up is dumb because it has lead to a Burks 3pter and a Williams 3pter which was lucky but still. Nothing frustrates me more than having a lead and giving up open 3pters.
