One bad team against another bad team. Someone’s gotta give, right? Both teams can’t lose, can they?

  2. d-mar

This game should be entitled “Dumb vs. Dumberer” and I’m not sure which team is Dumberer.

  3. mokers

The worst thing about the Knicks schedule is that there are going to be stretches when the team looks good enough to convince you that this group might be worth watching every now and then.

  4. DRed

Sure, Drummond has 12 rebounds with 2 minutes left before halftime, but Josh Smith has 10 points. I know who Jimmy would want!

I’m just glad we never had anything to do with Brandon Jennings.

  6. Roshi

At the game. Sparse crowd. Josh Smith really mailing it in. Felton looks super fat, can’t stay in front of anyone. Players tuning out Woodson in timeout. Thank god these tickets were cheap!

I know I harp on this: yet again, a remarkably bad night by the Knicks guards…but let’s talk about Melo, Chandler, Stat and Bargs.
If only our bigs were better…geez.
Our guards are 1-19 and Felton has had more than a couple disastrous turnovers and fails while driving in the paint. Just terrible.

  8. DRed

1-19 for 6 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 TOs in 53 minutes. Holy fucking shit is that bad. Like really bad.

I mean, fuck it, let’s go really big.

I just love how Felton’s response regarding comments about his weight was that he is thinner now than at the beginning of the season. That’s because you showed up super fat, Ray!! That’s not a thing to be touting as proof that you’re not fat (for a professional athlete, that is)!

  11. KJG

I hate Carmelo… He’s a loser. He could score 50 a game and he’d still be a top five phucking loser in this league

    It’s hopeless.
Our frontline needs guards to be productive, and our guards are just terrible.
    Big. Small. Whatever.
    They’re terrible.

  13. DRed

Is 30 points in a quarter a season high for the Pistons or did they light us up in another game?

  14. Robtachi

This is some really shitty basketball. It’s getting about that time we figure out which season this one is the worst since.

Sadly, you don’t even have to go back that far.

  15. DRed

Now that Shump has decided to join in the fun, we have 4 backcourt players shooting 3-28 for 11 points. Tyson goddamn Chandler has 8 points, by way of comparison. On the plus side, Jimmer Fredette hasn’t got off the bench in the Bulls game, so I can’t write anything snarky about him hitting more shots than Shannon Brown.

  16. Nick C.

When they were up I thought “Hawks game.” To the extent that I, or we for that matter, actually still care.

  17. DRed

It’s getting about that time we figure out which season this one is the worst since.

We did lose at least 49 games for 6 consecutive seasons last decade.

  18. Thomas B.

They do know they don’t have a pick in this draft? I hope they aren’t tanking to get Wiggins, Parker, or Embiid.

  19. Kahnzy

I hate Carmelo… He’s a loser. He could score 50 a game and he’d still be a top five phucking loser in this league

Because when your backcourt is a combined 3-for-83,547 you should pass them the ball more. amirite?

  20. JK47

Felton/JR/Shump/THJ are 3 for 31 from the floor. The starting backcourt is 1 for 19.

If Andrea Bargnani came back, he’d be one of the better players on the team. That’s how fucking horrendous this team is.

  21. KJG

It has nothing to do with tonight’s game. I hate the guy… He’s a loser… Are our guards losers too? Absolutely.

  22. DRed

Tyson and Melo still being out there is unquestionably the final flourish on Woodson’s masterpiece of ham fisted player management this season.

  23. d-mar

Shooting percentages for some of our guards:

Shumpert: 28% (gets my “guard of the game” award)
    Felton: 11%
    Smith 9%
    Hardaway 0%

  24. Kahnzy

The Bobcats really have a knack for this giving up record scoring games thing.

I thought that was our thing?! If nothing else, I thought we at least had that going for us.

  25. KJG

    “Knicks ‘stars’ Ask Out”
-Are just too damn good to lose like this… Want to save themselves for new team…

    Wouldn’t that go over well…

  26. JK47

This season really is like a sick, twisted masterpiece. It’s hard to screw something up this monumentally; you really have to tip your hats to the architects of this disaster. It’s like the Hindenberg crashed into the Titanic.

  27. Thomas B.

Can’t be too hard on THJ. He must be hitting the rookie wall by now, and he has no solid vet here to teach him the ropes.

  28. Frank O.

Woodson looks a bit like the undead.
    How he hasn’t resigned…I just don’t know.

  29. maxwell_3g

    my random thoughts
    1) JR was awful, but he did play hard until the end
    2) Felton was a joke
    3) go ahead and tell me about amare’s good stats tonight….he was awful. he scored some points, but seemingly got torched for twice as many. when drummond is killing you off the dribble, its a major problem
    4) the fact that woodson cant find 20 minutes for tyler and 10 minutes for toure is a joke. whats the point of playing felton and amare so much?

  30. Will the Thrill

TH2 is turning out to be the player a lot of people thought he’d be before the draft, a shitty one.

  31. bockadoo

The single biggest culprit for this embarrassment is JR. From the suspension to the shoelace crap to the pisspoor play. He’s still screwing around with the VC headband thing. He set the tone for the season. I have to confess I thought BASED ON TALENTwe were LUCKY to get him for that contract, but he is not man enough to count on. He has some good games because he’s so talented, but he is just a complete moron. Felton is a fairly close second, mostly because of his weight issue, which is unimaginable. Third is Shump. I love him to death, but really, wtf???? How can he be this bad? Is he trying? Dolan and Woodson are in a different category. Dolan for hiring STEVE MILLS!?!? Woodson for playing JR too much and just plain not being a good coach. Melo tried hard, but needs to go to a team with a strong point guard. Clippers are the best fit. Chandler gets hurt or sick too much. Trade him before it’s too late. Everything considered, this is the worst it’s ever been, and I’ve been a fan for 40 years.

  32. BigBlueAL

Didnt watch a minute of the game tonight. Did just read post-game quotes about Chandler talking about how him and the team have to look at rebuilding this summer. Safe to say if Melo leaves Chandler is immediately asking for a trade. Hell he might do so regardless.

  33. iyasin

You know how Philly’s coach said he doesn’t think his team will win another game this season? Well not to worry…the Sixers have 2 games remaining against the Knicks.

  34. Brian Cronin Post author

I think this loss is more embarrassing that the Bucks and the Kings losses.

  35. Brian Cronin Post author

I am honestly kind of surprised that Lebron didn’t stick around to get 63 tonight.

  36. EB

This isn’t even all that uncommon a performance for our guards. There’s been a number of games where I’ve thought, “I wonder what’s the worst shooting night a backcourt has ever had?” I think I remember at least 2 others (against Boston maybe). This is par for the course.

  37. mase

How does Woodson have a job?
More unimportantly, ha!. Why act like were in first place and all we need to do is tweak the lineup?

Melo all smiles in the post game … Smh… No heart!
