Brian, the "high horse" comment was about the fact that they gave up like 24 more points than their previous average and committed turnovers they haven't been committing, I sensed a lack of urgency on both ends. Since they had an easy game and a short flight the night before, I wouldn't blame it on dead legs. I would guess that when a team has been playing dominant basketball and winning most games going away, they are bound to have letdown games like this to remind them that you can't relax and not do the things that have been essential to winning.

I think a lot of his TS% woes are just small sample size. For instance, his TS% was at 42% just a couple of games ago. He opened the season with a 2 for 16 game, after all.

His last five games (counting tonight):

10 for 15
7 for 17
	8 for	16
	8 for	15
	8 for	17

It's definitely fair to say, though, that they're using him away from the basket and having him shoot a lot, so yeah, his TS% will naturally not be at the same level as when he was with the Knicks, where he played around the basket a lot (on top of the outside shot, of course - that's been part of his game for awhile now).

If only the Knicks knew that they would get Melo back in 2010. If they did, they could have just re-signed Lee. He would fit in well with this team (especially his rebounding). But they didn't, so Amar'e definitely made a lot of sense at the time, as Lee is clearly more of a complimentary player while Amar'e is more of a lead player and the Knicks really needed the latter at the time.

I love David Lee and always will but man his shooting numbers have plummeted in Golden St. Last 2 seasons his TS% was exactly the same each season at .549 and this season going into tonight it was .485!! As a Knick his lowest was .584 although alot of that can be blamed on his much higher usage% in Golden St.

Golden State has been feisty this year, even with Rush going down for the season. Barnes has helped them more than I would have imagined.

I think Mark Jackson is one of the dumbest people connected to the NBA, but GS seems to have a lot of talent if everyone is healthy, another tough team maybe fighting for the bottom few playoff spots out West.

ruruland:
You know what’s interesting about MDA’s comments is that the Lakers defense was actually pretty decent in the first half. He had to have been talking about the offense, where Kobe was isolating all over the place. And yes, clearly he was talking about the offense, I just saw the rest of the postgame and he’s talking about”showtime.”

Suddenly all of these comments about him wanting to come back when nash comes back doesn’t seem so tongue-in-cheek, just as the “ride Lin” comments weren’t last season.

Guy is a cancer. The Nash/MDA Kobe split is inevitable, and it’s going to be a spectacular implosion whenever it happens the next two years.

his sarcastic hyperbole definitely falls flat at times at the very least, did he forget those awful Knicks teams he coached?

this is one thing I worry about with this team, especially until Shumpert is back: young athletic guards beating them up and down the floor. if there's a way that makes sense to get Brewer on Harden most of the time on Friday, that would be welcome.

Ironic that Felton and Chandler's best pnr offensive game was probably their worst game defending it- especially in the first half when Felton struggled to keep Collison in front of him and Chandler was really passive defending the rim.

BigBlueAL:
I remember when MJ retired in 1999 NBA.com posted videos of all his game-winning shots, must have been close to 30 of them.I hadnt seen a decent amount of them too, a bunch of true buzzer beaters from the regular season that I had rarely seen in highlights.Plus he made a couple as a Wizard too.

Purely by volume, I'd guess he'd probably have most.

MDA actually just said this in his postgame, his second game on the sideline D’Antoni: “The first half might have been the worst basketball I’ve seen in 10 years.”

You ever hear Woodson throw his players under the bus like that? You'll notice Woodson takes responsibility for not putting his players in position to make plays, as he says.

Has an NBA coach ever throw his team under the bus in his second fucking game, when he had more than a few practices?
