Yeah! Let’s hope that the Buck stops here!

    Win Win

It is weird that they’re paying Ilyasova a billion dollars for him to come off of the bench.

he wasn’t doing much, at least in the box score

  4. 4
    Nick C. says:

At least the Melo float back for the right diagonal three play works.

  5. 5
    Thomas B. says:

    Firsties!
    Fire Dolan!
    Shump! Shump!
    Sheed! Sheed!

Well that should cover it. No way we can lose now.

  6. 6
    Brian Cronin says:

I would have sworn that Marquis Daniels would have been a good player six years ago. Granted, a lot of his problems have been due to injuries, but still…dayum, he sucks.

  7. 7
    Nick C. says:

Daniels’ partner Josh Howard hasn’t fared much better.

  8. 8
    d-mar says:

Really hard to know who to root for in the Celtics-Nets game, I guess the C’s since they have the worse record

  9. 9
    Brian Cronin says:

True. Josh Howard’s fall from grace was even worse. He was an All-Star, for crying out loud! And in a packed Western Conference at the forward spot! Howard made the All-Star Game over Melo that year!

  10. 10
    Nick C. says:

Geez I hate that shot where Melo shoots quickly and seems to flick out his feet. I haven’t seen him make one yet.

  11. 11
    Brian Cronin says:

Dang, Brooklyn up almost twenty on Boston in the second quarter. The Knicks really need to win this one.

  12. 12
    Nick C. says:

How the heck did that happen? I had it on for a minute before this game and it wax 18-17.

  13. 13
    nicos says:

JR just can’t stop staring at the ball- gave up two easy cuts to the basket off of post-ups where he didn’t need to even think about helping.

  14. 14
    ruruland says:

    Fight in Boston Brooklyn game.

  15. 15
    d-mar says:

Big brawl in the Nets game

  16. 16
    Nick C. says:

Down only three with Melo having to score half their points is a lot better than it could have been. Though if Melo didn’t get the ball stolen by and then foul Ellis with a second left it would have Bern even better.

  17. 17
    domiknick says:

Quick, get Melo around some Olympians. I feel like their effects from this summer on his focus and maturity are starting to wear off…

  18. 18

    What happened?

  19. 19
    Karzar says:

    omg pablo made a 3

  20. 20
    Nick C. says:

Eclectic lineup: Prigioni, Novak, Sheed (who just posted up), Brewer and Copeland.

  21. 21
    Brian Cronin says:

Rondo really doesn’t care who he’s fighting. Wow.

  22. 22
    d-mar says:

Copeland looks completely lost out there

  23. 23
    Nick C. says:

It’s the Pablo and Novak show!

  24. 24
    Kikuchiyo says:

    [In a Larry David voice]

    “pretty….pretty….Prigi”

  25. 25
    d-mar says:

    Harden 0-8, Lin 0-0. Yikes.

  26. 26
    Brian Cronin says:

    Harden 0-8

Yeah, wow, he really is letting this game get to him. He’s playing like dogshit.

  27. 27
    d-mar says:

Was that Uncle Drew trying to dunk that ball?

  28. 28
    yellowboy90 says:

    Get on him Prigs. lol.

  29. 29
    johnlocke says:

Prigs looking better than Felton so far

  30. 30
    DRed says:

All 5,000 people at this game are getting a nice view of a rejuvenated Novak

  31. 31
    johnlocke says:

    No one can miss!!

  32. 32
    Nick C. says:

This is the best Prigioni has looked. That soft toss for a touch dunk by Tyson was beautiful. In other news Novak seems to have found his shot and the lead is double figures.

  33. 33
    johnlocke says:

anyone have better floater than Jennings?

  34. 34
    yellowboy90 says:

Why is Prigs interview reminding me of Ricky Bobby. “I don’t know what to do with my hands”

  35. 35
    johnlocke says:

Pablo play pick’n'roll pretty spectacularly (say that three times fast)

  36. 36
    DRed says:

So what was the result of the donnybrook in Boston?

  37. 37
    Brian Cronin says:

So what was the result of the donnybrook in Boston?

Just three ejections – Rondo, Wallace and the Hump.

  38. 38

    Rondo was toss’od out

  39. 39
    johnlocke says:

Wizards may get their first win before they see us on Friday (I’ll be at the game)

  40. 40
    gmoney_nz says:

the brawl was pretty mediocre but hump, wallace and rondo will get a couple of games each in their casual attire….

In other news Im the biggest Knicks fan in New Zealand and hate having to work and try and watch the game at the same time but Novakaine makes it all better :)

  41. 41
    johnlocke says:

    Wizards win….Wizards win…..now on a 1-81 pace…
oh yeh and Steve Novak can shoot

  42. 42
    Nick C. says:

Novak starts the second half and promptly drains a three

  43. 43
    maxwell_3g says:

interesting how our lineup and substituion patterns have changed over the past few. i didnt see copeland coming. prigs got more run tonight too, but he played really well, so that might have something to do with it. maybe copeland’s minutes were a result of woody realizing that melo cant play this much

  44. 44
    maxwell_3g says:

be careful. remember what this team did against the bulls

  45. 45
    Nick C. says:

Great pokeaway steal for Felton who selfishly converts the fast break layup rather than leaving a mess for Chandler to clean up.:)

  46. 46
    Thomas B. says:

Ray Ray having a nice bounce back game. Other than the turnovers he has been solid against a Buck backcourt way to small to bother him.

  47. 47
    Will the Thrill says:

Chandler is so big. Whenever he gets the ball near the hoop he seems like he ALWAYS either scores or gets fouled.

  48. 48
    Will the Thrill says:

Why does Felton bother with the floaters when he could just oop it to Tyson and get an assist instead of a missed shot (although most of the time it results in the same thing)

  49. 49
    d-mar says:

For those who are concerned that Woodson doesn’t make in-game adjustments, great move to start Novak in the 2nd half. Also, giving Prigs a lot of burn in the 1st half (although more out of necessity)

  50. 50
    maxwell_3g says:

i kind of like woody hing prigs play the kidd role as secondary ball handler to felton

  51. 51
    massive says:

It’s really tough to argue against Tyson Chandler’s 15 points on 3 FGA. That’s insane.

noval appears to have his mojo back tinight and his d has been better too. that late call just made was awful

  54. 54
    Juany8 says:

Man it is excruciating to watch the Rockets when the opponent decides they’re simply going to stop Harden and actually make him play defense on the other end. Let’s just say the Thunder don’t miss Harden this game. I think Kevin Martin is going to end up at a higher efficiency after all, Harden has started taking stupid shots when he can’t actually get a good one off. Still think he needs to either be the second guy on offense or be part of a team where every player is good. It’s easy to see the difference in Melo’s game when he’s playing with guys like Kidd and Brewer as opposed to Bill Walker and Mike Bibby

  55. 55
    BigBlueAL says:

Just got home, was worried Bucks were gonna win and possibly big tonight vs the Knicks with no Kidd and presumably pretty exhausted after their game on Monday.

Very, very impressed to come home and see the Knicks up 22 late in the 3rd in Milwaukee. Huge bounce back win to me.

  56. 56
    yellowboy90 says:

This is usually where Smith goes off

  57. 57
    Juany8 says:

Interesting note: Other than the Thanskgiving hangover loss to the Rockets, all 3 of the Knicks losses have been on the second night of a back to back on the road. Kidd was absent against Brooklyn where the Knicks tied the Nets over the regular 48 minutes, the Knicks were down by one with the ball in the final 24 seconds against Dallas, and Memphis has been the best team in the league so far.

I think the Knicks are going to wind up being the fifth best team in the league after Memphis, Miami, San Antonio, and OKC (in no particular order) I think they’re the only team in the east that has a prayer against Miami, although I’m not totally confident that they’d beat either the Celtics or Nets in the second round. Still, at this point I think the Knicks are a good bet to be in the ECF

  58. 58
    JK47 says:

Steve Novak with a layup. I repeat, Steve Novak with a layup.

i dont really kind the rasheed 3, but arent there times when he is in there (read: when melo is not in) where going to him in the post would be a very good idea for the Knicks? its not that i hate the 3, but his best game of the year was against memphis, where he beasted on the block. i understand the desire to keep the lane clear, but when melo is not in, shouldnt sheed set up in the post?

  71. 71
    JK47 says:

Knicks were on pace to put up a ton of points on the Bucks, but the scrubs have barely been able to score a bucket. Very impressive display of offense in the non-garbage time part of the game.

You wonder if the schedule is forcing teams to bag. This Knicks run of games is ridiculous. Teams need practice time…

  83. 83
    cgreene says:

    johnlocke:
    Miami?

Yeah. Some extenuating circumstances in that one w opening night and the Sandy stuff. This was just a cold night in Milwaukee and we hadnt been playing well and I thought we’d be real tired after Bklyn game and low energy. Tyson and Melo brought it. Rayray bounced back. And Woodson did an excellent job mixing up the rotation to spur some energy. It was really business like and it was what good teams do all season to get back on track. Everyone gets up for the Heat (of course most still lose).

  84. 84
    cgreene says:

We SHOULD take a 4 game winning streak into the toughest 5 game stretch of the season and be 13-4 facing @Miami @CHI vsDen @BK vsLakers

this is what I was going to say, and yes, including Miami given the circumstances of that game and this one on the road with no Kidd and coming off a game where Melo and Chandler both played huge minutes. the stretch was kind of crazy, it was like Woodson wanted to put his starters back but he didn’t want to push Skiles into doing the same so he just kept the scrubs out there and they held on.

and agreed nice job by Woodson using his personnel this game even if he was mostly forced into it. Novak starting the 3Q was huge, and Prigioni had easily his best game so far.

also glad to see WAS won tonight, now they can go back to getting their asses kicked on Friday.
