    Firsties!!!!

    Spree8nyk8 says:

Classic Clyde with “look at Mozgov at 7’1″ with the agility, the mobility, and previously the hostility on the dunk!”

  3. 3
    Ted Nelson says:

    Props to Amare: he’s passing!

  4. 4
    jaylamerique says:

i guess defense is optional in this game

  5. 5
    Frank O. says:

    Nice sequence from Mosgov earlier.
Got to do something about Blatche

  6. 6
    Frank O. says:

I’ll get this out of the way quick: like Blatche a lot

  7. 7
    Frank O. says:

Great play by Amare taking the charge.
    Smart defensive play.

Remember it, Ted, because these teams are running their asses of tonight.
Defense is going to be situational…:)

  8. 8
    Ted Nelson says:

Frank O.: I’ll get this out of the way quick: like Blatche a lot

    He’s got skill, but he’s also got a gut… A big risk on a long-term deal…

  9. 9
    Ted Nelson says:

    Spoke too soon about Amare…

  10. 10
    Frank O. says:

    Ted Nelson:
    He’s got skill, but he’s also got a gut… A big risk on a long-term deal…

    I didn’t notice the weight.
He’s been pretty productive so far this year.

  11. 11
    Frank O. says:

Gonna have a tough time rebounding – getting second chances – tonight.

  12. 12
    Frank O. says:

    TURIAF

  13. 13
    Frank O. says:

    Dumb foul.

  14. 14
    Ted Nelson says:

I like how when a confident player takes a bad shot and misses Clyde doesn’t say “that’s what happens when you’re confident…” Only when they make one.

  15. 15
    Frank O. says:

I have to listen to Washington announcers tonight. MSG blacked out in DC.
    Their quite pleased with Blatche.

There have been I think 9 lead changes so far.

  16. 16
    irvin00 says:

Pretty bad for both teams after one

  17. 17
    Frank O. says:

    Nice sequence by AR.
    Nice jumper, nice defensive play.

    Another charge. See that?

  18. 18
    Frank O. says:

    TDDWTDD

  19. 19
    Frank O. says:

Okay, they need to pull AR after that sequence.
He needs to pass out and let O reset. He was 1 on 5

  20. 20
    Frank O. says:

    Then AR commits a fouls.
    Bench, please

  21. 21
    Frank O. says:

I know he’s there because they need to boards.
    TDDWTDD

  22. 22
    Frank O. says:

AR is making some really dumb plays.

  23. 23
    Ted Nelson says:

Someone has to let AR know he’s not a good shooter

  24. 24
    jaylamerique says:

AR needs to stop shooting. this is exactly the reason why i did not think he deserved minutes on this team.. the guy is horrible on offense.

  25. 25
    Frank O. says:

Ted Nelson: Someone has to let AR know he’s not a good shooter

    indeed

  26. 26
    Frank O. says:

If he focused on boards and defense he could be useful, but it almost looks as if the Knicks were trying to get the ball to him. He hit one shot, and then he started trying to force four more.
    Pretty juvenile.
Make me appreciate Fields that much more.

  27. 27
    nicos says:

AR 1-5 with 2 turnovers in 5 minutes Wow. Does have 4 rebounds and took a charge but he can’t be out there playing like this.

  28. 28
    Frank O. says:

Bump and a basket for WC!

  29. 29
    Frank O. says:

Why did he get a T?

  30. 30
    Frank O. says:

Who thought of Charles Oakley when Turiaf nailed that shot?

  31. 31
    Frank O. says:

Wow Wall should have just layed that in

  32. 32
    jaylamerique says:

wow the knicks are actually a really good shooting team

  33. 33
    Frank O. says:

    Douglas and Fields.
The 3s are raining down again

  34. 34
    Frank O. says:

    OMG OMG OMG
    WC Reverse dunki!!!!

  35. 35
    cgreene says:

Whoaaaaa! So what you’re saying, Ted, is that Wilson should drive to the hole. Now I get it. Whatta dunk.

  36. 36
    rohank says:

    The Master Blaster!!!

  37. 37
    nicos says:

You know it’s a great dunk when Chandler actually cracks a smile while walking off of the floor.

  38. 38
    Z-man says:

    W-I-LLLLLLLL-SOOOON!!!!!

  39. 39
    Frank O. says:

    Unbelievably athletic play.
But the 3s a couple stops, and that monster jam.

  40. 40
    Frank O. says:

Nice defense again. Shot clock violation.
    Important defensive play.

  41. 41
    Frank O. says:

Nice block by Amare. Too bad they couldn’t get the rebound

  42. 42
    Frank O. says:

    Man, they are looking good.

  43. 43
    Frank O. says:

Wish I could hear Clyde about now.

  44. 44
    Z-man says:

Is there still any doubt whether Felton is better than Duhon?

  45. 45
    cgreene says:

How about some Ray Felton love?

  46. 46
    Frank O. says:

    Late, whistle.
    But a good hard foul.

  47. 47
    rohank says:

WTF? Since when do rookies get calls like that?

  48. 48
    Frank O. says:

    STAT is soooo cold.

  49. 49
    Nick C. says:

Nice start. Everyone contributing, even Mozgov, tho AR looks raw to put it nicely. Is Turiaf becoming anyone elses favorite?

  50. 50
    nicos says:

I think the Knicks’ second unit is going to get them a lot of wins this year.

  51. 51
    Robert Silverman says:

Frank O.: Who thought of Charles Oakley when Turiaf nailed that shot?

very nice play by Turiaf, but if y’all recall, Oakley couldn’t jump over a phone book. No way he even attempts that block

  52. 52
    Frank O. says:

    Great cut by Fields.

  53. 53
    Frank O. says:

    Nice charge take by Gallo.
    Another nice defensive play

  54. 54
    Frank O. says:

    Robert Silverman:
very nice play by Turiaf, but if y’all recall, Oakley couldn’t jump over a phone book. No way he even attempts that block

more than likely he would have “innocently” undercut him.

  55. 55
    Frank O. says:

Stat is a master at getting fouled.

  56. 56
    rohank says:

um….What’s a kaleidoscopic pace? A pace of many shapes and colors?

  57. 57
    Robert Silverman says:

Clyde’s special like that. A “vacillating” pace is also a misnomer. “Vacillate” means to rise and fall or swing between poles. Clyde means to say, “fast”, but ya know, that’s not nearly as fun

  58. 58
    Frank O. says:

Robert Silverman: Clyde’s special like that. A “vacillating” pace is also a misnomer. “Vacillate” means to rise and fall or swing between poles. Clyde means to say, “fast”, but ya know, that’s not nearly as fun

    HAHAHAHAhaha!

  59. 59
    Frank O. says:

What ever happened to that dude a few years ago on the blog that used to blame the Knicks poor play on Clyde”s negativity about their play? Kept on calling for Clyde’s firing. Clyde’s like that eccentric uncle…or Yogi.
Boy, that was a while ago.

By the way, the Knicks have forced three shot clock violations and this last turnover should have been one but the Wiz traveled in the last second.
The D at times has been outstanding.

  60. 60
    Frank O. says:

Knicks are sucking from the line tonight. Hope that doesn’t come back to haunt them. Wiz have hit 94 percent of theirs.

But Wiz is horrible from three.

  61. 61
    Frank O. says:

    Wow.
I mean, the Knicks are looking like a very good team.
    Do my eyes deceive me?

  62. 62
    Frank O. says:

    Frank O.: Wow.
I mean, the Knicks are looking like a very good team.
    Do my eyes deceive me?

    AR back in, never mind.

  63. 63
    Spree8nyk8 says:

    oh hai Mr. Walker….

  64. 64
    Spree8nyk8 says:

    Spree8nyk8: oh hai Mr. Walker….

  65. 65
    Frank O. says:

AR is simply stupid. I’m convinced he doesn’t know how to play basketball.
I mean horrible shot. Then stupid soft foul. A 7 footer allows a 6 footer to actually get off a shot there. Pathetic

  66. 66
    Nick C. says:

Clyde says Blatche is overweight. hahaha

  67. 67
    DRed says:

The guy who kept calling Clyde the ‘boo generator’ and blamed him for all the Knicks woes? I think that was Isiah.

  68. 68
    rohank says:

Is it just me or have the knicks had 40+ from their bench in every game? Also – randolph showing his defensive presence now.

  69. 69
    Frank O. says:

Nick C.: Clyde says Blatche is overweight. hahaha

    Ted said the same earlier.

Blatche has went 8-9 in first half, then 1-9 or something like that.

  70. 70
    Frank O. says:

Blatche has a fat finger now too. :)

  71. 71
    Spree8nyk8 says:

    Spree8nyk8:

  72. 72
    Spree8nyk8 says:

That was supposed to say “Oh hai Mr. Walker!” again

  73. 73
    Frank O. says:

Amare just seems so out of sync

  74. 74
    Nick C. says:

    Walker with a nice drive.

  75. 75
    cgreene says:

Man Amare is hurting us again

  76. 76
    rohank says:

Also i think i’ve seen more dunks in this game than all of the last 2 years combined.

They mentioned football players on teh sideline? Who is that?

  77. 77
    Robert Silverman says:

    Foul???????

  78. 78
    Robert Silverman says:

rohank: Also i think i’ve seen more dunks in this game than all of the last 2 years combined. They mentioned football players on teh sideline? Who is that?

    Mark Sanchez, for one

  79. 79
    Frank O. says:

    The passing has been fantastic

  80. 80
    Robert Silverman says:

Hosed by the refs. Yet again. That was an awful call

  81. 81
    Frank O. says:

So are we the folks who aren’t at the game tonight?

BTW scoring is spread out nicely. So balanced.
    Felton 13 pts
    Stat 14
    Gallo 16
    Douglas 15
    WC 14

  82. 82
    latke says:

wall showing lots of bad judgment, driving into traffic and throwing up prayers. He’s fast, but he lacks the muscle and finishing skill of derrick rose (and apparently an even worse perimeter shooter).

  83. 83
    Frank O. says:

    DENIED

  84. 84
    rayhed says:

wow, the first felton- amare pick’n'roll all season… bout time

  85. 85
    Frank O. says:

latke: wall showing lots of bad judgment, driving into traffic and throwing up prayers. He’s fast, but he lacks the muscle and finishing skill of derrick rose (and apparently an even worse perimeter shooter).

It seems like Wall is getting frustrated.
he needs to use his big men better.

  86. 86
    Nick C. says:

Did I just see a pick and roll? And gotta love the interior D!

  87. 87
    rohank says:

The crowd is already cheering their heroes with 2 mins remaining. That makes me smile =)

Oh and btw there’s the pnr! with turiaf tho

  88. 88
    Robert Silverman says:

Not to nitpick, but does it seem to anyone else that Felton runs the pick and roll better with Turiaf than with Stoudemire?

  89. 89
    Frank O. says:

No let down after a big win.
No let down in second of a back to back.
    Knicks have controlled this game.

    Great bench.

This is a good team. There was a reason why they gave portand and the celts all they could handle.

  90. 90
    Frank O. says:

Robert Silverman: Not to nitpick, but does it seem to anyone else that Felton runs the pick and roll better with Turiaf than with Stoudemire?

    Way better.

Seriously, I think Amare turns the wrong way.

  91. 91
    BigBlueAL says:

Knicks now 3-1 vs the East, their conference record is going to be real important come end of the season so these games against the weaker East teams, including obviously Sunday vs Philly, are the real key games to make the playoffs.

  92. 92
    eric8476 says:

i thought yesterday’s game was a mirage with all of those 3′s going down. this win is the way we need to play for the season

  93. 93
    DRed says:

Toney Douglas had as many boards as Turiaf, Mozgov and Stoudemire combined. Obviously, TDDWTDD, but I’d like to see the big guys doing a little better on the glass. Otherwise I’ve got no complaints about tonight. Double digit blocks! Again!

  94. 94
    Spree8nyk8 says:

    Better and better every day

  95. 95
    rohank says:

TDDWTDD prasing the fans – nice move ;-)

  96. 96
    jaylamerique says:

i dont think ive ever been this excited for a knick team. we have a lot of unselfish players that like to pass the ball

  97. 97
    DRed says:

jaylamerique: i dont think ive ever been this excited for a knick team. we have a lot of unselfish players that like to pass the ball  (Quote)

    wow do I feel old

  98. 98
    jaylamerique says:

yah i am to young to remember the 90s. i was only 3 when they made the finals in 94. so for most of my life the knicks have been bad

  99. 99
    Frank O. says:

    11 blocks
    11 steals
    17 points of TOs.

Sure you win when you score more than the other guy, but defense wins games.

  100. 100
    GAx says:

In his defense, the last 10 years have felt like a lifetime.

  101. 101
    rama says:

Great win. 11 steals, 11 blocks – wow!! Everyone sharing the ball. A decent game from Amare – 18 points on 11 shots, a bunch of blocks, a couple taken charges. Another amazing +/- ratio for Turiaf, who’s quickly becoming one of my favorite players. Gallo continuing his strong multifaceted play. TDDWTDD, which seems to be stealing the ball a lot. Best of all, a winning record!

Only negative: I don’t think a lot of teams are going to sleep on the Knicks anymore. Won’t be too many games we can steal this year; the word will be out that we’re for real.

    At last…!!

  102. 102
    d-mar says:

Anyone who criticizes STAT that actually watched this game is crazy, I don’t care what his final stat line says. He was a PRESENCE on D.

Every time the Wiz sniffed getting into the game, Toney D had a big bucket. I am really loving this kid.

  103. 103
    Frank O. says:

d-mar: Anyone who criticizes STAT that actually watched this game is crazy, I don’t care what his final stat line says. He was a PRESENCE on D.Every time the Wiz sniffed getting into the game, Toney D had a big bucket. I am really loving this kid.

    Stat plays D

  104. 104
    rama says:

d-mar – I don’t think anyone is criticizing STAT after tonight. When he had 14 points on 21 shots, with 8 turnovers, he was hearing it. Tonight, he had a good game on both ends of the floor.

  105. 105
    Spree8nyk8 says:

Like I said, a little bit better every game….

  106. 106
    BigBlueAL says:

I only saw the 4th quarter which AR played a little and after looking at the box score saw an ugly 1 for 7 FG including 0 for 1 from 3pt and 0 for 2 from the FT line plus 3 TO’s. BUT in just 10 minutes he did have 7 boards, 2 blocks and a steal (plus 3 fouls).

If he ever gets a clue on offense you can definitely see the value he can bring to the team.

  107. 107
    SeeWhyDee77 says:

I um..expected the defense to be better this season…but wow. I don’t even think the Riley/JVG teams were this active defensively. More physical..yea. But man, what a difference having better athletes make. Douglas is looking like an All Defense 1st teamer in the early going and even Stat looks more than competent defensively. Maybe our defense is not quite at Boston or Miami’s level..but boy do we have a chance to be VERY dangerous on defense becuz we have the athletes to turn a steal, block or rebound into a bucket quick. Maybe I should be more patient and less critical..if the team is able to play like they did tonite more often, then we should expect big things. We may still need another scorer though, just so teams won’t key on Stat

  108. 108
    Spree8nyk8 says:

Miami is down for with 3 left in New Orleans btw.

I think a team like Miami is going to have tough times with us because of our deep bench. We should be able to run their starters to death and make their bench show something. But that might just me dreaming.

  109. 109
    Spree8nyk8 says:

    four even

  110. 110
    Spree8nyk8 says:

Wow New Orleans is about to knock off the heat….

  111. 111
    Kikuchiyo says:

For those who prefer Bosh to Amar’e, tonight Bosh played 34 minutes and had one board and zero FT attempts.

Yeah, yeah, it’s a long season. Just sayin’…

  112. 112
    Kikuchiyo says:

    And zero blocks.
