Maybe we want to play Boston after all…they looked completely lost today against Miami….really struggle to score and rebound.

  2. David Crockett

Get well soon STAT, but we might actually get something done defensively vs the PNR with him out.

Rondo. All Rondo. He is so key for them at both ends of the floor. If he continues to struggle, then yes, I prefer Boston. I still believe they’ll come to life come playoff time though.

Miami has ATL and Toronto left. It’s hard to imagine them losing either (they’ve dominated ATL, and Atlanta has been struggling big time). So I think they’re the 2 seed. Tonight’s minute distribution should reveal a lot about who D’Antoni prefers to play.

Hansborough gets a wide open 20 footer to start the game.
    That seems vaguely familiar

  5. Spree8nyk8

Oh just in case there are people that don’t know, in the latest adjustments for firefox and flash they have incorporated the ability to watch full screen on a second monitor while still working on the other monitor (before if you did anything on the second screen the video would shrink back down). So you might wanna update to get that if you haven’t already.

Anyone have a link for the game?NBA tv once again ruins LPBB

It will be interesting to see how the Williams brothers hold Hansborough and Hibbert off the boards…so far, Hibbert is a beast downlow to handle

  8. Spree8nyk8

thanks man, so glad to be able to have it in fullscreen now on my tv while still being able to post :)

  9. Michael Cline

Geez, Hibbert is getting the ball standing almost below the rim. We are just way too small to keep him out of there

  10. Michael Cline

Nice layup by Fields. That might be the best take he’s had in the last 10 games or so

  11. BigBlueAL

Looks like early on the Pacers with their rotation wants to win this game for some reason. Dunno if this will hold for the entire game though.

  12. SangaD

I kno were losing right now but the Knicks look good and stat is out, I’m ready for the playoffs whoever it is. Were coming right back on these young pacers. I’m sold on this knick team.

  13. KnickInSeattle

I’m sold too, and I love my Knicks! But I hope Fields can find his game again. You can see him aiming every shot he takes.

  14. d-mar

KnickInSeattle: It would be a travesty to lose to these crackers again.

I don’t know about a travesty, as we are missing Amare, but there’s something I don’t like about the Pacers, like they think they’re better than they are. I would think the Knicks would want this game after that home and home disaster.

  15. Michael Cline

I have never seen a player throw up more garbage that actually goes in than “psycho T”

  16. Michael Cline

Pacers home announcers are complimenting the Knicks on how much better their defense has gotten, including both schemes and intensity. You have to love to hear that!

  17. SangaD

Everyone moving in cohesion i kno I’m talking air but guys our team is like a stiff drink u kno the hit is coming I’m excited ! Knick ball is sexy

  18. BigBlueAL

Remind me again how the hell did this team recently lose 6 in a row and struggle on offense doing so???

  19. KnickInSeattle

Looking good at both ends. Love that we’re harassing shooters, running them off the three-point line and trying to make every shot a contested one.

  20. Robert Silverman

    SangaD:
Black Toney is the hit u don’t see coming

Is there a “White Toney” on the Knicks as well? If not, I wanna be known as White Toney from now on

  21. BigBlueAL

Great, apparently Melo’s right wrist is sore/tight due to falling on it in 2nd quarter. Says he will play 2nd half because “he wants to win this game.”

Winning tonight will almost clinch 6th seed since magic number would be 1 (they own tie-breaker vs Philly). If they win tonight and Philly loses tomorrow vs Orlando its clinched, makes final 2 games completely meaningless (although might mean something on Wed vs Boston for the 2/3 seed).

  22. d-mar

BigBlueAL: Remind me again how the hell did this team recently lose 6 in a row and struggle on offense doing so???

I think a lot of it had to do with chancey not being 100%

  23. SangaD

It’s aight let her get comfy before you snap your belt buckle, these pacers are going down. No worries

  24. Spree8nyk8

that quick pullup 3 by Melo has really become a weapon, it’s a terrible shot for the most part but he’s really been nailing it for a good while now.

  25. Mulligan

Jeez, we are so spoiled with our announcers. I can’t take listening to other teams’ broadcasts… These indiana dudes are retarded

  26. Spree8nyk8

uggh i was really hoping we’d blow this open in the 3rd, melo’s gonna have to get some rest and I really think we need this game.

  27. Mulligan

    Frank O.:
When did it happen that Landry became a liability?

Rookie wall big time. Looking forward to seeing him next year when he gets his legs under him, works on his 3pt range and is better incorporated to work alongside Melo.

  28. Michael Cline

Jared gave that pass the Mozgov treatment :(

Speaking of the young Russian, did you all see the MCL sprain? I guess he’ll only be out 14 days or so

  29. SangaD

Listen guys stop that we are clicking they are lucky just relax our hitman lands that 22 if u ain’t seen were gonna get this game cause we have a plan and a counter

  30. Spree8nyk8

    d-mar:
Damn, I was starting to get used to winning every game

That’s why i’m saying they need to bring melo back in. I mean does not good to bring him back later if we are 10 down. Gotta get it back right now

  31. Spree8nyk8

    SangaD:
Chill melo stays out till 8 mins were doing fine we have this locked.

lmao fng to t he rescue on the boards ftw

  32. Spree8nyk8

and this is about as far from “locked” as it could be, maybe you haven’t watched the rest of the season but this team has owned us.

  33. Kikuchiyo

Someone made part of this joke before, but surely the best nickname for our new PG is:

    Chancy Pullups

  34. Spree8nyk8

    SangaD:
No worries bro ! Im a blind knick fan I always see a win coming

yeah well you’re gonna need to imagine a win this time most likely because we aren’t doing anything but chucking

  35. BigBlueAL

Shawne’s woeful 3pt shooting right now the difference in the game. Thing is they have all basically been wide open shots.

  36. Jim Cavan

Great, great win. If Philly loses tomorrow, we can take it kind of easy the last two games. Let the Celtics and Heat fight over who gets to avoid us.

  37. BigBlueAL

BTW, maybe best defense Knicks played all season long final couple of minutes of this game.

  38. SangaD

Notice Tha plan and the counter on the last shot had jones doubled down Chauncey the counter was set to squeeZe but the trusted Granger and let the hot man shoot. Bad Indiana coaching but then again you can’t beat a counter plan

  39. massive

I think the best defense the Knicks played came on Christmas when the Bulls couldn’t score for 8 minutes in the 4th quarter.

massive: I think the best defense the Knicks played came on Christmas when the Bulls couldn’t score for 8 minutes in the 4th quarter.

    I did say maybe. lol

  41. BigBlueAL

Knicks shoot 39% from the floor yet still score 110 pts. Outscored the Pacers 23-13 in 4th quarter.

  42. Dan Panorama

To put it in perspective, these are some assorted things that did not exist at the time of our last winning season:

    -iPod
    -Xbox
    -Kanye West’s solo career
-The Strokes first album (they’re in the reunion phase of their career now)
    -the Afghanistan War

  43. d-mar

That quick release jumper by Melo is almost unguardable, he gets it off before the defender even has a chance to react. Reminds me a little of a guy named King, except he did it more in the low box.

  44. BigBlueAL

Thats right forgot, Knicks clinched 1st winning season since 2000-2001 season!!

I remember a time after the trade when people complained this Knicks team is boring to watch now….

  45. KnickInSeattle

Hoolahoop, other haters, any reaction to Melo’s improved play at both ends? To the whole team’s improvement at each end?

It’d be really nice if Orlando won that game- Chicago still has a shot at the overall number one seed- one game in back of SA with two to play- so it’s doubtful they’ll be resting everybody. And there’s still a chance that the 2 seed will be in play for Boston in the last game. Right now I’d definitely rather play Boston so hopefully the Knicks can mange one of the next two.

As for tonight- definitely some chucking going on in the third but excellent defense late- big steals from Fields and Williams- and whatever you think of the trade, if you don’t have Melo as your “guy I’d most like to have taking the last shot” you haven’t been paying enough attention.

  47. BigBlueAL

    d-mar:
By the way, Melo had 3 blocks and 2 steals tonight

He also had 5 assists and if Shawne Williams couldve made a shot tonight he wouldve had at least another 2 assists if not more.

  48. Z-man

Hater refrain: yeah, but if the non-elite Melo had only played better early on they wouldn’t have been in that position.

Shawne didn’t shoot well but he made 2 big defensive plays.

Yeah, I think with tonight’s end of game performance, Melo might just be on the verge of cracking the top 25, but it’s between him and Kevin Martin.

Melo is Bruce Bowen defensively compared to Kevin Martin.

  51. Dan Panorama

Yep, we have to lose both of our final games and Philly has to win both to fall to 7th seed. Looks like it’s probably Boston playing us as the 3rd seed then. Next modest goal is winning first playoff game in 10 years…

  52. Z-man

I wouldn’t assume we’re playing Boston yet if we get the 6th seed. Miami has 2 road games and are only one game up. A tie goes to the Celts for the # spot. Ironically, the last game might determine who we play.

Miami is at Atlanta and Toronto. They look like they really want the 2nd seed. They aint losing either of those games.

  54. massive

Great. I don’t want Walsh or D’Antoni out of New York. Just bring in Mike Brown to coach defense and we’ll be fine.
