Nelson’s a nice player but Felton’s been better than him. Wall’s been impressive for a rook but he’s missed almost half the season with various injuries.

It's too bad the all-star balloting is so much about name recognition.

Anyone think Ray Ray deserves an All-Star nod (assuming he doesn't fall off the earth with his play over the next month)?

Looking at the eastern conference ballot, I can't find more than 3-4 other guards that deserve a spot more than he does:

- Rondo and Rose are locks.
- Wade will get it even though he stinks this year so far.
- Who else? Joe Johnson and his 41% FG% and 25% from 3?
Vince? Jennings? Felton has dominated him in every stat category except TOs. Nelson's a nice player but Felton's been better than him. Wall's been impressive for a rook but he's missed almost half the season with various injuries.

Raymond Felton, (deserving) All-Star! Ted would be sick.

Leave it to that a-hole Mitch Lawrence to put a damper on the Knicks win (although I get it that he's a Nets fan) His startling point (and he's echoing Prokhorov) - the Nets need to try to be more like the Lakers, not the Knicks. Wow, what an original mindset - we want to be like the team that's won 2 championships in a row and is line for a 3rd, what a slap in the face to the Knicks! I don't know why I read this guy, he just gets me really aggravated.

I don't think we should consider trading for a 2 because A) Landry Fields - have you noticed him? He's our rookie off-guard who ranks at the top of the league in various statistical categories, and B) Azubuke was at worst an effective player, a great 3-ball shooter and solid defender. Really, the 5 is our only weakness -- or will be if Buke comes back OK and Moz continues to struggle.

But, newsflash: we arenot going to beat NO. And it isn't the end of the world - OUR 10 NEW PLAYERS STILL HAVEN'T PLAYED 20 GAMES TOGETHER!!

Good god the Knicks get no love from Hollinger, at 10-9 the Knicks are 17th in his poll behind 6-10 Charlotte and Milwaukee and 8-10 Memphis. Charlotte moved up 3 spots after losing 3 out of 4 games and Milwaukee is 4-6 in their last ten. I really don’t understand how his math is done, because Hollingers list updates daily not weekly. So this result is counting the Knicks W and their L’s.

Weird.

Presumably it is all strength of schedule, right? Hollinger stresses the last 10 games and in the last 10 games, the Knicks have only played two good teams (Denver and Atlanta) - and they lost to both of them. Charlotte beat the one good team they faced in their last 10 (Phoenix, who was considered "good" at the time, although they obviously have fallen since) and they beat them badly, which also counts for a lot in Hollinger's system (he rewards point differential a lot). Memphis just beat the Lakers last night and also beat Miami in their last 10. You'll note that the points in the system for all three teams are very close. Once the Phoenix game is no longer in Charlotte's last 10 games, you'll see them take a hit and the Knicks likely will pass them.

Beating a good team like the Hornets on Friday, though, would do wonders for their Hollinger Power Rankings.

Do note, though, that Hollinger currently has them ahead of Charlotte in Playoff Odds (barely, but still!).

Actually it's quite good, the Knicks were huge negative after that 6 game skid (maybe 3 or 4 points negative), so to turn that into a positive stat that quickly is impressive. It was -.4 going into last nights game.
