And on the topic of all star games….

“Mike Kurylo, Knickerblogger: I’d like to see the freshmen play the NBDL All Stars. It’s become apparent that the NBDL is a viable source of NBA level talent. I think this would be a competitive game, since each has something valuable to play for. The D-Leaguers will be fighting to show that they belong in the league, and they may have an extra chip on their shoulder playing millionaire rookies.”

Freshmen? NCAA might not agree with that.

Saw that Jameer Nelson might be out for the season. What odds should we put on Steph ending up in the Magic Kingdom?

I think the odds are slim to none, just judging by the contracts they have. They would have to gut their bench or send one of their rotation players to make it happen unless Marbury is bought out, and I don't see that happening.

“What kind of player scores 61 points without getting a rebound?”
A really good one…
He also only had 2 turnovers, posted a +19, and when Gasol and Odom combine for 28 rebounds, there’s not a whole lot else that needs to be done to win.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone go for 60+”
I definitely have never seen a game where two players combined for 92 points on the same team. As crazy as it sounds, I thought it was actually Gasol that beat us out there. Kobe you expect to go to the line 20 times and rack up a ton of points; but Gasol seemed to score when we desperately needed a stop, grabbed rebounds, and had some big blocks. Sort of like last year when LeBron scored a ton of points but Daniel Gibson hit all the big shots…

I agree about Gasol. We're not gonna beat LA when Kobe is unconscious like last night, but we had no answers for Gasol either. As much as I like Lee, he was really exposed last night at the 5, Gasol absolutely torched him.

BTW, I don't think it was just Laker fans chanting MVP, which really pisses me off. I know there were a few diehards trying to drown out the MVP's with boos, but I cannot understand the mentality of a Knick fan cheering for an opposing player that is destroying us.

"I definitely have never seen a game where two players combined for 92 points on the same team. "

I was wondering how long it had been since this happened, but then I realized that of course it would be Kobe's 81 point game (and it was, Smush Parker had 13 for 94 total).
