Since it looks like I’m about to get IS’d, props to Thomas B. for the ‘people skills’ injury report for marbury.

I’m hoping the Knicks continue distributing like they did in the Hornets game (30 assists). Jeffies, aside from his offense, had a solid all around game. Additionally, at the beginning of the season, I thought that Arenas was supposed to be back in December. Anyone know whether he had a setback?

I live in DC so I hear a lot of Arenas talk. The word here is Gilbert suggested shutting it down for the year due to the Wizards' record. There really is no need for him to rush back as the Wiz will have 40 Ls by the end of the month. Even in the East, 40 L before ground hog's day means no post season for you. Right now the Wiz are looking forward to getting a big man in the draft. Gilbert may appear in the final month or so to show his conditioning, but the guys has had 3 surgeries on the same knee in two years. I'd just give him the rest he needs and hope he can come back strong next year. With a healthy Arenas, Nick Young, Butler, Jamison and Thabeet/Griffin in the post, the Wiz could bounce back next year.

From True Hoop:

"The day started with Sergio Rodriguez being traded to New York for Nate Robinson. It ended with Rodriguez and Jerryd Bayless up for discussion as the Trail Blazers' starting point guard tonight at New Jersey. As it turned out, the Rodriguez-for-Robinson 'deal' was nothing but a hoax, conjured up by talk radio that is too lazy to pick up a phone and determine what is real and what is not."

It’ll be interesting to see if Nate is playing. I just saw a blog that there is an unconfirmed rumor that the Portland Trail Blazers have traded point guard Sergio Rodriguez to New York for point guard Nate Robinson. Apparently this was reported on a radio station in Portland owned by Paul Allen.

Serg for Nate even up? I think we got the short end on that one. Anyway, interesting note TDM but off topic. As moderator I must remind you that the topic of discussion is the amazing work Thomas B. is doing on the game previews. And to a lesser extent, the actual game.
